Okra drying process using SUNSAY freeze dryer

Step 1: Prepare ingredients
Choose okra pods that are still fluffy, not too old because they will be tough. Do not choose rotten or damaged fruit.

Step 2: Wash okra under running water to remove all dirt and foreign objects. Remove unsatisfactory fruit.

Step 3:

  • Cut 1 okra into 3 – 4 pieces (cut diagonally).
  • Remove the roll.

Step 4: Blanch the cut okra in warm water at 75 degrees Celsius, blanch for about 3 – 5 minutes.
Take it out and let it dry.

Step 5:
Place okra in the drying tray of the freeze dryer, set the drying time and temperature.
After the food heat pump dryer process is finished. Okra will be crispy and spongy, the product will be completely dry and easy to preserve.

Step 6: Packaging

Check that the dried sample meets the requirements, then proceed with packaging and preservation.
